Ella Mae Donaldson was born at Frankfort, Minnesota. She was educated in the common school at Spring Valley, Minnesota.
She moved with her parents to De Smet, S. D. in 1882 where she was married to F. H. Murdick, December 25, 1883. Moving to North Dakota in the year 1902 locating at Cando and moved from there to Hansboro in 1906 where she has resided up to the time of her death at 6 p.m., May 25, 1923.
To this union four children were born. The son died in infancy, the daughters are: Mrs. E. E. McDougall, Mrs. L. P. McAneney, Mrs. Keith Gordon. Besides her husband and daughters she leaves to mourn her loss one brother and four sisters.
She was an active church worker, member of the Ladies Aid, Missionary Circle and F. I. C. Club. The funeral services were held in the church Monday morning, Rev. Geo. B. Denison officiating.
