Emily V. Alexander, 79, Sandusky, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born on March 11, 1934 in Albany, KY, to the late Morton and Dora (Andrews) Burchett. Emily was employed by Plum Brook Country Club for more than 20 years.

She was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, past president of the Mother's Board, taught Sunday school, and cooked for the Sunday school breakfast. Emily loved to bowl and cook.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Alexander; children, Thelma (Emanuel) Washington, Carol (Eddie) Fleming, and Ann (Tony) Rogers; grandchildren, Edward Alexander, Wilanna Alexander, JaShelyn "Nicki" Alexander, Shasta Fleming, Aireon Fleming, Edward Fleming Jr., Tony Alexander, Marc'Anthony Rogers, Raven Rogers, Tia Rogers, Tamera Rogers, Stephan Greenhill, Andre' Greenhill, Tokeya Greenhill, Arthur Greenhill, Jasmine Greenhill and Carisa Ramsey; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Russell Burchett and Jerry Burchett; sisters, Glenna Alexander, Jamie Johnson and Patress Moore; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Greenhill; parents; brothers, Flim, Morton Jr., her twin, Enry, Jackie and Charlie; and a special niece, Geraldine Hill.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, until funeral services at 1 p.m. at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Eddie Henry Way, Sandusky. The Rev. Curtis L. Johnson Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
