Juanita was the daughter of Rev. E. G. Wilcox and Callie Perrin Wilcox. Juanita and Charles were married on August 15, 1940 in Brownwood, Texas. They both graduated from Southwestern Seminary in 1941 and pastored churches in Texas and Illinois. Charles served as chaplain in the military from 1942 until 1946. They served as Baptist foreign missionaries to Brazil for 33 years. They had four daughters - Helen, Carole, Janet and Susan.
