Marjorie Hernandez, Galesburg Chapel 74, of Galesburg, died at 9:05 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 in Heartland Health Care Center.
She was born September 17, 1938 in Smithshire, Ill. the daughter of Creed and Olive Ross Roark. She married Donald Hart, Robert Swedeen, and then Crispin D. Hernandez on September 2, 1987 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death September 25, 2006.
She is survived by three sons, Dan Hart of Galesburg, Bob (and Lori) Swedeen of Alliance, Neb., and Jason (and Michelle) Swedeen of Galesburg; a daughter, Merijo (and Eric) Wolfe of Galesburg; 16 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Donnie (and Geraldine) Roark of Galesburg; and three sisters, Mary Alice Martin of Rockford, Ill., Erva Logan of Manito, Ill., and Nancy Hoy of Daphne, Ala. She was preceded in death by a son, Dean Hart September 24, 2011; three brothers, Bob, Bud, and Dean; and three sisters, Marlene, Betty, and Anna.
Marjorie worked for the Maytag Corporation for several years and at George H. Zeller Mental Hospital in Peoria for several years before retiring.
Marjorie loved her grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Jon Sibley will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
