INSURANCE FIRM'S AGENT, EDWARD C. KNOOP, 68, DIES - SERVED COMPANY FOR 38 YEARS.
Edward C. Knoop Sr., 68, state agent in Kentucky for Aetna Insurance Company, died at 11 a.m. yesterday [February 9, 1950] at Kentucky Baptist Hospital. He had been ill several months. Knoop lived at 2105 Edgehill Road until recently. He formerly served as president of Kentucky Fire Underwriters Association and president of Kentucky Fire Prevention Association. He had been with Aetna for 38 years. He was a member of Falls City Lodge of Masons and Douglass boulevard Christian Church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. G.F. Bauer, and Mrs. F.H. Litkenhous; son, Edward C. Knoop Jr.; mother Mrs. Anna Ziegler Knoop; sister, Mrs. George Flamm; brother, Clarence Knoop; and four grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Pearson's. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.
