COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 08/01/1948
FUNERAL TO BE TOMORROW FOR MRS. MARY KNOOP
Funeral for Mrs. Mary C. Knoop, Louisville clubwoman, who died Friday [July 30, 1948] at Norton Memorial Infirmary, will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Knoop, who lived at 2105 Edgehill Road, had been ill for six weeks. She was a member of the Blue Goose Auxiliary, St. Ann's Sodality and the Parent-Teacher Association of St. Francis of Assisi School. Survivors are her husband, Edward C. Knoop; a son, Edward C. Knoop Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. G.F. Bauer and Mrs. F.H. Litkenhous; three sisters, Mrs. Marshall G. Bishop, Mrs. George A. Fauth and Miss Ailleen Harrison, and a brother, Albert G. Harrison.

Litkenhous and Edward C. Knoop Jr. of Columbus OH. and sister of Mrs. Marshall G. Bishop, Mrs. George A. Fauth, Miss Aileen & Albert G. Harrison. Funeral from Pearson's, 1310 S. 3rd St. Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock and from St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1960 Bardstown Rd. at 9 o'clock. Interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. The St. Ann's Altar Society will meet at the funeral home Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock to pray the rosary.
