COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 10/14/1962
Clarence L. Knoop, 73, former owner of Arkay Furniture Company, 800 W. Walnut, died at 9 a.m. Saturday [October 13, 1962] at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He lived at 5012 Camp Ground Road. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, [s/b St. Luke United Church of Christ] the Honest Abe Council of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, and the Fraternal Order of Elks. Survivors include his wife, the former Anna Weber; a daughter, Mrs. Morris Shine; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Flamm, and a grandchild. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Devoted husband of Mrs. Anna M. (nee Weber) Knoop; beloved father of Mrs. Morris (Thelma) Shine; brother of Mrs. Pearl Pauline Flamm; also survived by one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Remains resting at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia Ave. Funeral services Tuesday at 11 o'clock from Owen Chapel. Burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. If desired, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Luke United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
