Margaret Darlington, 95, of Baytown, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 in Baytown. She was born January 29, 1919 in Baytown to her late parents, Sam Y. Sjolander, Sr. and Katherine McGar Sjolander.

Mrs. Darlington was a lifelong resident of Baytown, member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church and was retired from Exxon after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Herman Athey and Fred Darlington and brothers and sisters, George Sjolander, Earl Sjolander, John W. Sjolander, Sam Y. Sjolander, Jr., Winnie Reese and Lillie Mae Williamson.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Bill and Glenda Sjolander, Harvey C. Sjolander, Sam and Veronica Sjolander, Kenneth and Debbie Sjolander, Kay Sjolander, Carolyn and Larry McKeever, Lewis and Sue Reese, Mary Williamson and Robert Wise, Bruce Williamson, Kathy and Nolan Thaler, Susan and Rick Holman, John Williamson and Julie and Ricky Stewart and numerous other great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the funeral home with Dr. E. Richard Steel officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Sjolander, Mark Sjolander, Sam Sjolander, Darren Sjolander and Dalton Sjolander.
