Warren Conner Rites Aug. 27
Funeral services for Warren [Sumner] Conner, 66, of Cumberland, Ia., formerly of Bedford, were held at Sacred Heart Church in Cumberland August 27. Mr. Conner died Aug. 24 at Archbishop Bergen Hospital in Omaha. Interment was at the Atlantic Cemetery.
Warren [Sumner] Conner, son of James and Mary Conner, was born Nov. 26, 1899 in Taylor county. He attended the Bedford schools.
For more than 40 years he owned and operated a produce store in Cumberland.
His father, mother, sisters Florence and Alice and brother George preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Maude; sons, Jack who teaches at Iowa City, and Gene, teacher at Shelbyville, Miss.; daughter, Judy Gerlock of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Hullinger and Frances Conner, Bedford; two brothers, Ansel Conner of Bedford and Allen Conner of New Virginia, Ia.
Among relatives attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hullinger, Frances Conner, Ansel Conner, Mrs. Mary Marshall of Bedford; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hullinger of Elliott, Ia.; and Glade Hullinger of St. Joseph.
