Charles William Basham, 81, passed away on Friday. 1 Nov 2013 at 8:45 a.m. at his residence.

Charles was born 23 Nov 1932, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of George and Anna (Williams) Basham.

He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the Air Force. Charles was a member of the Elks and was a carpenter.

Survivors include a daughter Mavis Davis of Marion; daughter Nancy Medvick and husband David of St. Louis; son Caroll Basham and wife Treina of Marion; four grandchildren, Christopher Davis and wife Angela of Marion, Laryssa Allen and husband Michael of Cambria, Anthony Medvick of St. Louis, Collin Basham of Marion; two great-grandchildren, Tenley and Tripp Allen; two brothers, George Basham and wife Sarah of Ohio, and Robert Basham and wife Mary of Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Enola, Virginia, Clara Frances, James, Johnny and Teddy.
