Mrs. Edna Barnes Ramsey, 100, died Sunday morning in Lincoln Skilled Care Center after a long illness. The funeral was yesterday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband James Elmer Ramsey. A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Ramsey was the daughter of the late Abram Oliver and Frances Jane Smith Barnes. She was a housewife and a member of the Hughey United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Leo R. Hamilton and Mrs. Margaret Pickering, both of Fayetteville; and Mrs. Evelyn Simmons of Vernon, Texas; a son, James Woodrow Ramsey of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
