Nancy Ellen Hoover, daughter of Jonathan and Mary Hoover, was born at Lisbon, Iowa, March 19, 1861. She lived here practically her entire life. She was one of a family of ten children, two sisters and seven brothers. In her early life she became a Christian and joined the U. B. church in the year 1880. She was interested in the church, a faithful member and present at the services until declining health interfered. She had many friends and was beloved by all that knew her. She had not been in good health for some years past and but recently went east to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. R. M. Thompson. She died at Norristown, Penn., May 11, at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 22 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, her daughter, Mrs. R. M. Thompson of Norristown, Penn.; two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Runkle and Mrs. Lee Kynett of Lisbon and five brothers, John, Clyde and Estel of Lisbon, Will of Mt. Vernon and Frank of Los Angeles. The funeral service was held in the U. B. church Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by Rev. L. P. Krome.
