Funeral services for Levi A. Faith were held on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the United Methodist Church in Creighton with Rev. Olin Belt officiating.

Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were Jim Loney, Ron Schmid, Roger Morrill, Todd Morrill, Jack Kotrous and Chuck Knott.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Emory, Tom Sladek, Wendell Morrill, Archie Moser, Chris Nelson, Albert Bonge, Dan Ortiz, Dick Krefels, Dale Carpenter, Walter Shelton, Robert Morrill, Duane Shiele and Francis Nelsen.

Levi Arthur Faith, the son of Edward and Louisa (Ickler) Faith, was born October 26, 1909 in the Mars community west of Creighton. He died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 1990 at his home in Creighton at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 20 days.

He attended school at Mars. He married Maxiene Pierce on August 27, 1934 at Huron, SD. They farmed in the Millerboro community until 1966 when they moved to Creighton. During his years on the farm, he also worked on the ASCS committee in Antelope County and was a leader for the Verdigris Valley 4-H Club. He was a member and officer for the local school board.

He worked at Morrill Grain Company in Creighton until his retirement in 1977. After that, he worked part time for Huber's Service Station.

He was a member of the Creighton United Methodist Church and held various church board offices. Fishing and gardening were various pastimes and he took an active part in the men's prayer group. During the incorporation process of the Walter Larson Senior Citizens Center, he was on the board of directors.

Survivors include his wife, Maxiene; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Carol) Morrill of Creighton, Mrs. Jerry (Janet) Loney of Hastings and Mrs. August (Brenda) Bergman of Fremont; one son, Dennis Dale Faith of Danville, IL; three sisters, Minnie Kumm of Keystone Heights, FL, Amy Knuth of Rowland Heights, CA and Bertha Mlady of Bloomfield; one brother, Gordon Faith of Creighton; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.
