Funeral services for Otto Faith, 43, who died at the local hospital July 11, were conducted Thursday morning at Hengstler's Chapel with the Rev. Richard T. Hartshorn of the Congregational-Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wendell Strope, Jim Haskin, Bernard Raff, Bernard Strope, Archie Brandt and Gordon Raff.
Otto Boyd Faith was born June 7, 1922 west of Creighton to Robert E. and Louisa Faith. His boyhood was spent in the Mars community west of Creighton.
He entered the Army on Dec. 9, 1942 and served in Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland. He returned from the service Dec. 30, 1945. He was a member of the Creighton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and military rites were held at the graveside.
On June 6, Mr. Faith married Lottie Hubbard at Creighton. One daughter, Amber Theresa, was born to them. They lived their first year of married life at Neligh. After one year at Plainview they moved to Creighton, which has since been their home.
Survivors include his wife and daughter; his father of Creighton, three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Minnie) Kumm of Winnetoon, Mrs. Kermit (Amy) Knuth of Fullerton, Calif. and Mrs. Alfred (Bertha) Mlady of Bloomfield and four brothers, Levi of Royal, Gordon of Creighton, Lawrence of Morrill and Willis of Lyman.
Preceding him in death were his mother and three brothers, Clarence and infant twins.
