Alex P. Pfeifer, 86, 2001 Eisenhower, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1992 at Hays Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1906 in Victoria, to Andrew and Barbara (Kuhn) Pfeifer.

He married Germain Pfannenstiel April 30, 1928 in Hyacinth. She died Nov. 13, 1938. He then married Josephine Befort Aug. 19, 1941 in Hyacinth.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors: wife, Josephine; sons, Edward of Hays, Leonard of Pottsboro, Texas, Jerry of Dodge City; daughter, Mildred Dinges of Thornton, Colo., Norma Jean Ruder of Liberal; brother, Aloysius of Hays; sisters, Susan Bathaur of Eastlake, Colo., Pauline Bollig of Council Bluff, Iowa; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Pfeifer.

Service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Don Zimmerman officiating; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Hays Memorial Chapel...
