Rebecca Jane was the eldest child of Thomas Samuel Lacock & Mary Elizabeth Nott. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Rebecca (Blake) Lacock, who died in 1858--according to family trees posted on Ancestry.com. The younger Rebecca married 25 March 1879 in Hardin County, Iowa, to George Bushnell Hiserote (1855-1931), son of Dr. Andris J. Hiserote & Mary Elisabeth "Betsey" Bushnell. 8 children:
