Nelson Dutton, 63, 1724 Nash Street, died Wednesday evening at his home of a cerebral hemorrhage. The hemorrhage was believed to have been caused by complications which followed fractures of three ribs and other injuries which he suffered early this month when he fell while repairing the roof of his house. He had been dismissed Wednesday from a hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Riverside Methodist Church. Rev. George E. Scheider, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Logan Park cemetery. Christy's funeral home at 711 Myrtle street will have charge.
Mr. Dutton had been a car inspector here for the Milwaukee railroad since 1919, the year he came to Sioux City. He was born March 12, 1878, near Dundee, Mich., and while a child moved with his parents to Hardin County, Iowa. On February 12, 1902, he married the former Miss Mary Rankin.
Surviving are the widow: a son Robert N. of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Lammers, Miss Margaret E. Dutton and Mrs. Jeannette Hansen, all of Sioux City; the mother, Mrs. Mary Dutton of Iowa Falls, Iowa; three brothers, Burt of West Concord, Minn., Ben of Iowa Falls, and Jack of Dows, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Deliah Sisson of Eldorado, Kan., Mrs. Julia Black of Algona and Mrs. Maude Cochran of Tolono, Ill., and four grandchildren.
