Nellie was the daughter of William Putnam Sheldon (1856-1939) & Hattie May Hammontree (1859-1899). She married Russell Elias "Mose" Shrimplin (1893-1969) on 05 Dec 1911. They had at least 10 children, including Clarence, Harley, Charles, Irene, Russell, Clyde, Gerald, Franklin, James, & an infant son stillborn. She worked for the Warsaw School District as a cook at Warsaw Junior High School & was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church.
