He married Jane Batchelor 14 Oct 1853 at the age of 21. He and his family left England for America 11 April 1859 at the age of 26. They arrived in New York after about one month at sea 14 May 1859. They arrived at Sugarhouse, Salt Lake, Utah Territory 6 Sept 1859. Henry had to ride in a sick wagon most of the way across the plains because he got dysentary or something similar to that. After arriving in Utah, they made their permanent home in Coalville.
After Jane Batchelor Wilde died, Henry hired Miriam Manktelow Frost, daughter of Richard Henry Manktelow and Lucy Weller. Miriam was the widow of Obediah Frost. Henry and Miriam ended up getting married 2 Dec 1891 in Logan, Cache, Utah.
Henry died 4 June 1899 in Coalville at the age of 67.

Coalville, June 7 - Death of Henry Wilde
The funeral of Henry Wilde who died here on Monday was held today. The deceased was 67years of age and was one of Coalville's earliest and most useful settlers. He left a good name, 9 children and 49 grandchildren. He was in all respects a good citizen. The funeral took place from the Stake Tabernacle at 2 o'clock this afternoon, there being a large attendance of relatives and friends.
