Funeral Services Set For 2:30 P.M., Wednesday

EDINBURG, April 23 – J. Wilbur Coy, 63, died suddenly Saturday night at his home, 710 South Pleasant Street, after three years of failing health. Death was due to coronary occlusion.

Funeral services are to be conducted at the Edinburg Christian Church at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. Ray Bozell, pastor of the Old Union Church, will conduct the rites and burial is to be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The body has been returned to the late residence from the Vandivier Funeral Home in Franklin and friends may call any time. They are invited to attend the rites.

Born June 6, 1887 in Brown County, he was the son of William F. and Eliza Wirey Coy. He lived at the place of his birth until 1927 when he moved to his present home.

Moves to Edinburg

Mr. Coy had been a farmer until he moved into Edinburg and after that he did custom farming.

He was married to Flossie Wray at Nashville, March 3, 1909, and they were the parents of nine children. Two preceded the father in death.

Those surviving with the widow are Mrs. Ardith Stillabower, of Atwood, Ill.; Virgil Coy, of Hope; Orville Coy, of Trafalgar; Mrs. Ruth Bula, Edinburg; Kenneth Coy, Estel Coy, of Franklin; and Mrs. Pauline Burtis, of Indianapolis.

Also remaining are 13 grandchildren, Allen, Donald, and Carol Coy, of Hope; Glenn, Gary and Dale Coy, of Trafalgar; Janet and Wayne Bula, of Edinburg; Karl, Patty, Linda, Michael Coy, and Marilyn Coy, of Franklin.

He was a member of the New Bethel Church in Brown County.

NATIVE OF BROWN COUNTY DIES AT HOME IN EDINBURG SATURDAY
EDINBURG, April 24 – Funeral services for Wilbur Coy, 63, who died at 11:00 o'clock Saturday night at his home on South Pleasant Street in Edinburg following a long illness, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Edinburg Christian Church.

The Rev. Ray Bozell will be in charge of the rites and burial will be made at Rest Haven Cemetery. The casket will be at the Coy home this evening.

Mr. Coy, a native of Brown County, was a farmer before his retirement several years ago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Flossie Wray; three daughers, Mrs. Roscoe Stallsworth of Atwood, Ill., Mrs. Stanley Bula of Edinburg and Mrs. Russel Burtis of Indianapolis; and four sons, Virgil Coy of Hope, Orville Coy of Trafalgar, Kenneth Coy of Franklin route 5 and Estal Coy of Amity.
