Pauline M. Burtis, 67, of Hartsville, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at Columbus Convalescent Center.

She was a former employee of Eli Lilly and Co. in Indianapolis. Mrs. Burtis was a member of North Christian Church, former president of Girl Scout Council of Columbus and former president of Columbus Women's Bowling League.

Private service will be conducted Saturday by Myers Funeral Service, Hathaway-Myers Chapel, with the Rev. John R. Bean officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Girl Scouts.

Born June 26, 1923, in Brown County, Mrs. Burtis was the daughter of Wilbur and Flossie Wray Coy. She married Russell T. Burtis on Sept. 2, 1943, in Edinburgh. He died Aug. 2, 1983.

Surviving are daughters, Pattie Davis of Columbus and Deborah Lucas of Indianapolis; a brother, Orville Coy of Trafalgar; a sister, Ardith Stallsworth of Illinois; and three grandchildren.
