Graveside services for Vesta Richardson Dewbre, 89, of Crosbyton was at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005 at the Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Vance Mitchell and the Rev. Patrick Lewis officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She passed away Thursday, July 14, 2005 in Crosbyton Hospital.

Vesta was born Feb. 20, 1916 in Wellington to the late Jesse and Essie May (Childs) Richardson.

On Oct. 16, 1933, she married Ike Dewbre in Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1981.

She moved to Crosbyton in 1930 and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. In 1950, she started working as a nurse's assistant at Crosbyton Hospital.

Survivors include three sons, Jacky, Freddie and Eddie, all of Crosbyton; three daughters, Vera Savage and Yvonne Crausbay, both of Crosbyton and Sherill Cureton of Cove, Ark.; three brothers, L. D. Richardson of Stinnett, J. D. Richardson of Lubbock and Donnie Richardson of Crosbyton; two sisters,Betty Boggs of Hereford and Vertie Powell of Crosbyton; thirteen grandchildren; twnety-six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
