HEREFORD — Betty Jean Boggs, 84, of Hereford died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014.

Celebration of life services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow in Rest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home in Hereford.

Mrs. Boggs was born Oct. 15, 1930, in St. Vrain, N.M., to William and Essie Childs Richardson. She married Lawrence Ray Boggs Sr. on May 17, 1947, in Dickens.

Survivors include a daughter, Derenda De Leon of Amarillo; a godson, Gilbert G. De Leon of Amarillo; a stepbrother, the Rev. Paul Richardson of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the Hereford Senior Citizens Center, 426 Ranger Drive, Hereford, TX 79045.
