FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Frank P. "Phil" Reasner, 73, of 222 Joyce Drive, died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Sept. 8, 1924, in Greene Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Ralph and Bertha McClure Reasner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva R. McNew Reasner, in 1992.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a glider pilot on the D-Day invasion and received the purple heart and two bronze stars.

He was employed by LEAD at Rocky Spring Golf Course as greenskeeper for 12 years; he was last employed by Chambersburg Area School District, retiring in 1982.

He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fayetteville.

He was a life member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW; a member of Loyal Order of Moose 842; AMVETS Post 224; Landis-McLeaf Detachment Marine Corps League; and a life charter member of Fayetteville Fire Co.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. George S. Mouer will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, with graveside military honors conducted by members of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW.

Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
