Born September 2, 1915 in Fayetteville, she was a daughter of the late Ralph K. and Bertha Mae McClure Reasner. She had been employed for a number of years as a cook at the former Piney Mountain Home. She attended the Fayetteville Church of God and enjoyed cooking, knitting, and country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was affectionately known as "Nee-Naw" by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Her first husband, Carl Otenberger, and her second husband, Frank L. Gerhold, Jr., both preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, C. Richard Otenberger and wife Delores of Fayetteville, and William Otenberger and wife Doris of Chambersburg, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Dorothy M. Reasner of Fayetteville, Alice Fay Staley of Gettysburg, Frances Geraldine Horne of Fayetteville, and Sarah J. Reese of Oakville, Pa.; four brothers, Ralph M. Reasner of California, Richard R. Reasner and Henry Reasner, both of Fayetteville, and Glen Reasner of Chambersburg, as well as an adopted daughter, Tammy Piper of South Carolina. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Interment in Lincoln Cemetery.
