William Chapline (1625-1669) arrived in Calvert County, Maryland in 1651. I am looking for "evidence" linking him to his father, Isaac Chapline (1584-1628), who arrived in Jamestown, Virginia in 1610 and lived with his wife Mary at "Chapline's Choice" near Jordan's Point on the James River in 1622.

I am particularly interested in learning more about my 5th great grandfather, Joseph Chapline (1707-1769),who served in the French and Indian War and founded Sharpsburg in Washington County, Md. in 1763. My lineage includes his descendants: Jeremiah Chapline (1756-1809) and his wife Elizabeth Nourse Chapline (1765-1846) Washington County, Md., James Nourse Chapline (1796-1830) and his wife Catharine Hebb Chapline (1796-1864)Washington County, Md., William Richardson Chapline (1820-1899) and his wife Margaret Ann Hout Chapline (1825-1885) of Shepherdstown, Jefferson County, WV., Charles Luther Chapline (1865- ?) and Marietta Delauder Chapline (1867-1943) Baltimore, Md.

Other family lines of which I am a descendant: Manning and Dobson families from Maryland and Virginia. Thomas , Garrett, and Mizell families from Baker County, Florida. Clayton and Dennard families from Suwannee County, Florida.

I also maintain memorials for my wife's family, Lewis, Coleman, Douglas, and Morris from Van Alstyne, Grayson County, Texas.
