My families are complex, many members with the same names & ending up with cousins and double cousins with the same name and then to sort out who is who once they are gone is often fairly tough. In the details of other sources you can find answers.

I believe Find A Grave is a useful tool in doing research it is not always a reliable source but with cooperation it could be. On this site I only research my family & am available to assist in answering questions, filling in dates, linking parents to children and so forth. If I contact a contributor I do so to help with the memorial, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are wrong it means that I have collected something more on these characters and want to share it. I don't actually collect memorials & when I add one I am willing to assign it off to others more closely related.

MY RULES FOR FIND A GRAVE:
I will not create a memorial for anyone who has only recently passed away & for children five years. I will work on group projects with the intention of transferring memorials to the relatives or local historians without question. I don't ever want to exceed 1000 memorials. I will not withhold memorials from living family members for any reason.
I will remove any memorial a family member may ask me to do so, without argument or requiring an explanation.
I will respond to any requests within 24 hours, wherever possible.
I will not copy photos from other websites to publish to Find a Grave.
I will work with you & be sensitive to your needs with a spirit of cooperation.
I will work on helping you correct biographies & will make edits to biographies.

I live in Northern Canada, and have travelled for many years to the USA to the Mid West and the South researching my ancestors. I have many hundred cousins that have helped, some of whom I work with daily to find the answers.
