Find a Grave ID

When I was a little girl my Mother, Grandmothers & Great Aunts would take me with them to the grave yard to place flowers on family grave sites. We would go to the cemetery on birthdays and Memorial Day. It was on those trips I began learning my family history. I also realized that those trips to the cemetery keep our ancestors memories alive. I tell those same stories to my granddaughter Chloe. I hope one day she will pass our family stories onto her children and by that time there will be a few more stories to tell.

I was born in Bloomington Indiana and was raised in a the small community of Ellettsville just northwest of town. My paternal grandparents are Earl & Dorothy (Cook) Sexton and my maternal grandparents are Ted & Grace (Morrison) Rhodes.

My parents were both only children. But luckily my grandparents had plenty of brothers and sisters, so I had 38 great Aunts & Uncles.

I love history and doing research for my family tree.
