Mary "Polly" McGee was born 1 April 1781 in Montgomery Virginia. She is the daughter of Robert and Jane McGee. Polly married her first husband Joseph Haven/Heaven on 13 October 1800 in Botetourt Virginia. Joseph Haven died before 1828. Polly then married her second husband, who was also her first cousin his name was Joseph McGee (also his second marriage). Polly's father Robert McGee and Joseph's father John McGee were brothers and had made the move from Ireland to America together back in circa 1750.

Polly died on 14 July 1853 in Mercer Kentucky. Joseph McGee died on 10 September 1853 in Mercer, Kentucky.
