In 1940, Alyda Barry, aged 29, and husband, John Barry, age 30, and 1 year old son were living on Lasalle Street in Manhattan where husband John was described as a "Head Bus, restaurant"
Obituary - Mrs. Alyda Barry, aged 36, of North Patchogue, died suddenly last Wednesday at Cutchogue. Born in Medford she had lived in this vicinity all her life.
The body reposed at the Pettit Funeral home in Patchogue until 2 p.m. Friday when interment took place took place in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors besides her husband, John, of North Patchogue, include a son, John Jr., two sisters, Mrs. Porter of Wantagh and Mrs. Agius of New York City; two brothers, Jacob Jansen Jr., and John Jansen, both of Patchogue; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Jansen, North Patchogue.
