Joseph Wasmer, 87, of Rt. 1, Kiel, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Christianson Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. The Rev. H.G. Messmer SDS will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wasmer was born Jan. 23, 1880, in the Town of Eaton, son of the late Edward and Mary Fischer Wasmer, and was engaged in farming and stone masonry before retiring. He married the former Mary Brotz April 20, 1912, at St. Fidelis Church, Spring Valley. The couple resided 23 years at St. Nazianz and the remainder of the time at School Hill. Mrs. Wasmer died in March 1967.

Survivors include a son, Edward Sr., of Spring Valley, four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jeanette) Jetzer, of Tampa, Fla., Miss Marie Wasmer, of Sheboygan, Mrs. John (Helen) Starkl and Mrs. Hugo (Adeline) Bunke, both of Milwaukee, a brother, Edward, of Green Bay; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Herr, Mrs. Alvin Herman and Mrs. Albert Loos of Sheboygan; 29 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A son, a brother and two sisters preceded in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where at 8 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.
