RICHARD STEFFEN

Richard Steffen, 90, a former Town of Schleswig farmer, died Saturday evening, March 5, 1988 at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc, where he resided the past month.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday, March 12, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Preceded by brief family rites at 10 am at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Rev. Reginald Schrimpf pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Steffen was born November 21, 1897, in the Town of Liberty, son of the late John and Caroline Fehrenbach Steffen. He attended St. Gregory Catholic School,
St. Nazianz and farmed with his brother in the Town of Schleswig their entire lives, retiring in 1977. Mr. Steffen was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. William (Mary) Steffen of School Hill; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and nine brothers.

Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, 6 pm to 9 pm Friday, March 11th and Saturday from 8 am until the time of services. A parish wake service will be 8 pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
