Norbert J. Koenig, 59, of Rt. 1, Newton, died Tuesday evening at St. Nicholas
Hospital, Sheboygan. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Friday in Meiselwitz
Funeral home, Kiel and 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill.
The Rev. Reginald Schrimpf will officiate. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.
Mr. Koenig was born February 22, 1918 in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Peter
and Anna Brost Koenig. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School, School Hill. He
married Lucille Schreiber November 15, 1941 in Holy Trinity Catholic church. The
couple resided in the Town of Meeme. Mr. Koenig was employed with Polar Ware
Company, Sheboygan for 30 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church
and its Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles of Cleveland and Gerald of Rt. 1,
Plymouth; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Lois) Albright of Rt. 1, Kiel, Mrs. Thomas
(Linda) Buchner of Rt. 2, Kiel and Mrs. David (Paula) Arenz of Kiel; three brothers,
Jerome and Ervin of Rt. 1, Newton and Roland of Sheboygan; four sisters, Mrs.
Earl Sievert of Kiel, Mrs. J.J. Waller of Saratoga, Calif., Mrs. Francis Riesterer
of Kiel and Mrs. Robert Olig of Sheboygan and ten grandchildren. A brother preceded
him in death.
Friends may call in Meiselwitz Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Thursday until the time
of service Friday. A wake service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday.
