Juanita R Riesterer, 87, of Kiel went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning, November 13, 2014 at Oak Creek Assisted Living. She is the former Juanita Koenig, born on March 17, 1927 in the town of Meeme, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Brost) Koenig.

On September 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to Francis “Shorty” Riesterer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Shorty preceded her in death on July 28, 1987. Juanita took great pride in raising her children and being at home. She later worked at Wriedts/Western Cheese for many years, until her retirement. Juanita was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Women's Club. She also was a member of the Kiel Senior Center where she actively volunteered and served as a board member. Juanita enjoyed playing cards and was a member of many local card clubs, she also enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, raising her farm animals, cooking and baking. Juanita loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her three children; Mark (Lindy) Riesterer, Kiel, Glen (Renae) Riesterer, Kiel and Lynn Riesterer, Sheboygan Falls; son-in-law: Jeffry Woelfel, Newton; eight grandchildren: Mark (Brenda) Riesterer. Eric (Jody) Riesterer, Carla (David) Brunette, Brandon Riesterer, Jessica Riesterer, Abby (Carl) Allen, Jill (Jeff) Zimmermann, Joshua Woelfel (Kelly Walesh); 11 great-grandchildren; sister: Eleanor Waller, brother: Roland (LuAnn) Koenig; sisters-in-law: Lucille Koenig, Mary Ann Repenshek, Magdeline Steffen and Joanne Riesterer; brothers-in-law: Tony (Joanne) Riesterer, Alois Riesterer and Elroy Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Shorty, a daughter; Lori Woelfel, brothers: Norbert (Lucille), Jerome (Dorothy), Ervin Sr. and LeRoy Koenig, sisters: Frances (Earl) Sievert and Jeanette (Robert) Olig, and brother-in-law: Joe Waller.

Funeral Mass for Juanita will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday November 17, 2014 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church (413 Fremont St. Kiel) with Fr. Daniel Lasecki and Deacon Pat Knier officiating. Family and friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St, Kiel) on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm and at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until 10:45 am when we will have brief family rites. Burial will follow in the Eaton Cemetery, Town of Eaton.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
