Charles V. Koenig, 67, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010, doing something he loved.
Chuck was born March 17, 1943 in Sheboygan, to the late Norbert and Lucille (Schreiber) Koenig.
He graduated from Kiel High School in 1962.
On May 18, 1963 he married June Thieleke at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel.
Chuck was a Tool & Die Journeyman for forty years.
He was an avid fisherman and card player. He loved being First Mate on "Office Time", Captained by his son Chris. He was always there to attend his families sporting events, and loved being in charge of his children's home improvement projects.
In addition to his wife June, he is survived by his children, Robin (Fiancé Randy Liska) Koenig, of Morrison, Chris (Sue) Koenig of Jackson, Dawn (Jay) Klister of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Craig and Samantha Koenig, and Danielle and Joshua Klister. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald (Ruth) Koenig of Plymouth; his three sister, Lois (Dennis) Albright of Kiel, Linda (Larry) Glanert of Sheboygan, and Paula (David) Arenz of Kiel. He is further survived by his uncle, Roland (LuAnn) Koenig; his aunts, Juanita Riester and Eleanor (Joe) Walle;, his in-laws, Daniel (Christy) Puetz of Rosholt, James (Pat) Puetz of Kiel and Carol (Bruce) Pahl of Plymouth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Chuck will be held Monday, June 28, 2010, at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove).
