William P. Conrad

William P. Conrad, 73, of 17123 W. Washington Rd., Kiel, died Saturday night at St. Nicholas Hospital, where he had been a patient for three days.

He was born Aug. 5, 1910, in New Holstein, son of Otto and Lena Weber Conrad.

He attended New Holstein schools.

On June 8, 1937, he married Marcella Ramminger at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. The couple farmed in the Town of Lyndon until 1944, when they moved to the Town of Meeme.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the 4-H Leaders Association.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Stanley of Two Rivers and Vernon of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Leova Phillips, of Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. William Prokosch, of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Walter Becker, of Lannon.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

A funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, following family rites at 10:30 a.m. at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Rev. Reginald Schrimpf, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. John Conrad, a nephew. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. A parish wake service will be held there at 8 tonight.
