Otto J. Conrad, 79, retired Town of New Holstein farmer, died Friday afternoon at his farm home two miles south of New Holstein. A lifelong resident of the township, he was born May 10, 1875, on the farm of his late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Conrad. He attended district school and on Feb. 6, 1901 married the former Lena Weber at St. Anna. Since then the couple had lived on the farm operated by Mr. Conrad. His wife died in 1946. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic parish, New Holstein, and of its Holy Name Society.
Surviving are three sons, Lawrence and Sylvester of the Town of New Holstein and William of Cleveland, Manitowoc County; four daughters, Mrs. L. W. (Leova) Phillips of Los Angeles, Mrs. William (Adela) Prokosch of Milwaukee, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Becker of Lannon, Wis., and Miss Marion at home; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. All of his brothers and sisters preceded Mr. Conrad in death.
