Lawrence Conrad, 66, of 2407 Illinois Ave., New Holstein, died unexpectedly early today at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where he has been a patient for one day.
Born in the Town of New Holstein on Jan. 19, 1902, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Conrad. He attended New Holstein area schools and was a farmer and carpenter his entire life.
He married the former Mary Speers of Chilton. Mr. Conrad was an employe of the Kestell Furniture Co., New Holstein. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein, the Holy Name Society of the parish, former clerk of the Lincoln School District board, and a former member of the Calumet County Soil Conservation Service.
Survivors include his wife; one son, the Rev. John Conrad, Assistant pastor at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Green Bay; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Janet) Milling of St. Francis; three grandchildren; one brother, William of Cleveland, and four sisters, Mrs. Walter Becker and Miss Mary Ann, both of Lannon, and Mrs. William Brokosah of Chicago, and Mrs. Leova Phillips of Los Angeles, Calif.
