Mary Alice Dobbs, 75, of Holmen, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health System, La Crosse. She was born on February 21, 1937 in La Crosse to Lawrence and Mary (Desmond) Flock. Mary Alice graduated from Aquinas High School in 1955 and married Ray Dobbs on May 26, 1956 in Salina, KS. She was a 19 year survivor of a liver transplant. Mary Alice enjoyed painting and drawing, fishing with Ray, trips up north to the cabin, and auto racing. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved being around her family. Mary Alice was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 1254 in La Crosse.

She is survived by her husband Ray, three daughters, Susan (Neil) Thompson, Sandy Krenn, and Cathy (Thomas) Gross, two sons, Steve Dobbs and Leonard (Susan) Dobbs, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild, her brothers and sisters, Peter (Carolyn) Flock, Helen Pedretti, Louise (Larry) Kelsey, Edward (Barbara) flock, Thomas (Pam) Flock, Marion Hill, and Theresa (Robert) Walchak, two sisters-in-law, Alice Flock, Marilyn(Bill Reagen) Heckelbeck, a brother-in-law Allen (Wendy) Dobbs, her father-in-law Earl Dobbs, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Flock, two brothers-in-law, Ed Pedretti and Donnie (Vi) Dobbs, and her mothers-in-law, Glee Dobbs and Eleanor Dobbs.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 26th, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. A Rosary will be recited at 2:00 PM. Private family committal services will be held at a later date.
