Marion Kay Hill, age 68 of LaCrosse passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 6th at the Mulder Nursing Home in West Salem. Born on April 26, 1954, to Lawrence and Mary (Desmond) Flock in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She was a 1972 graduate of Aquinas High School. Marion worked at St. Franciscan Hospital during high school and for several years after and then went to work for LaCrosse Footwear where she worked for more than 20 years. She would often work weekends with Baus Catering Services while working at LaCrosse Footwear during the week.
She is survived by her two sons, Brent (Cheri) Hill of LaCrescent, MN and Jeff Hill of LaCrosse, WI, grandchildren, Nadeen, Maycee and Austin Hill, sisters and brothers, Helen Pedretti, Louise (Larry) Kelsey, Edward (Barbara) Flock, Thomas (Pam) Flock, and Theresa (Robert) Walchak, sisters-in-law Carolyn and Alice Flock along with many nieces and nephews. Marion was also delighted to be reunited with her first daughter Colleen (Harrison) Webster as an adult. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Raquel Hill, her brothers Peter and David Flock, sister Alice Dobbs and brothers-in-law Ed Pedretti and Ray Dobbs.
Marion was an active member of the Eagles Club in LaCrosse for more than 15 years and loved playing cards and bingo with her fellow members.
Marion Hills family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Gunderson Health System that have cared for her over the last several years and a special thanks to Lori Pedretti her Care Coordinator. In addition, thank you to Moments Hospice staff for their comforting care especially hospice nurses Aubrey and Sarah.
A private family burial will be held on May 20th at 11:00am at Hiler Cemetery, 42518 County Highway 12, Dakota, MN. All our welcome to join in the Celebration of Life for Marion which will be held after the burial from Noon to 3:00pm at the Eagles Club, 630 6th Street South, LaCrosse, WI. (A light lunch will be served).
