THERESA M. SCHAD

Theresa Schad, 83, a former Town of Schleswig resident, died Saturday evening, June 26, at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, where she had resided for the past four years.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. The Rev. Reginald
Schrimpf will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Schad, nee Theresa Meyer, was born Sept. 18, 1898, in the town of Eaton, daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Knier. She attneded St. Gregory Catholic School, St. Nazianz. She was married to Joseph Schad, Oct. 14, 1919, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. After their marriage, the couple operated the homestead farm in the Town of Schleswig until 1949, when Mr. Schad preceded her in death. Mrs. Schad was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, and the Christian Mothers Society.

Survivors include six sons, Bernard of Menomonee Falls, Norman and Frank of Route 2, Kiel, Alois of St. Nazianz, Raymond of School Hill, and Roman of Route 1, Kiel; five daughters, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Litz of Rtoue 1, Kiel, Mrs. Edwin (Josephine) Schaefer of School Hill, Mrs. Ervin (Bernadett) Madson, and Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Schmitz of St. Nazianz, and Mrs. Glenroy (Anita) Franzen of Route 2, Kiel; two brothers, Steve Meyer of Manitowoc, and Math Meyer of Route 1, Valders; three sisters, Mrs. Agatha Heimann of Chilton, Mrs. Mary Stein of School Hill, and Mrs. Hilda Woelfel of New Holstein; 67 grandchildren, and 56 great grand-children. She was preceded in death by two sons and a brother.

Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home after 4 o'clock this Monday afternoon where a wake service will be at 8 o'clock.
