ELLSWORTH – Phoebe Collins died Oct. 14, 2012, at Courtland Living Center, Ellsworth. She was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Southwest Harbor, daughter of Chester W. and Bertha (Robinson) Stanley.
Phoebe Rose Stanley Collins graduated from Pemetic High School, Southwest Harbor and attended Gorham State College. On Sept. 24, 1967, Phoebe and Charles Collins were married in Southwest Harbor. She resided in Portland for many years before moving to Ellsworth.
Phoebe is survived by her daughter, Cathy Watkins of Nine Mile Falls, Wash.; Cathy's husband, Michael and their children, Dillon, Dallas, Cody and Alexa; brother, Ralph Stanley of Southwest Harbor; and sisters, Ruth Holmes of Kingfield, Irene Murphy of Southwest Harbor, Nancy Stone of New Hartford, N.Y., Myrna Ritterscamp of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mary Abbott of Ellsworth; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Esther Willis.
