Mary (Burneer) Tyler was born in Blooming Grove New York to parents Peter and Phobe Jane Burneer in 1857. She married Henry Tyler in 1874. Henry and Mary had three children: Frank (b.1875), Harry (b.1877 d.1880), and Carrie (b.1879). They lived in Middletown New York until the turn of the century, when they moved to Staten Island New York. In 1929, Mary Belle died of an apparent heart attack at her home on Staten Island at the age of 72. Her husband Henry passed away four years later.

Mary (Burneer) Tyler is interred at Hillside Cemetery in Middletown New York (Section 5 Lot 1172) beside her husband Henry Tyler. At the opposite side of the headstone, their daughter Carrie (Tyler) Marr, Carrie's husband Charles Marr, and Mary's grandaughter Adele (Marr) Meko were also interred. Henry and Mary's son Frank Tyler, Frank's wife Rose (nee Haas), their daughter Mildred, and Mildred's son Fred Bilgeshouse are interred at an adjacent grave on the same plot. Henry and Mary's son Harry - who had died at the age of three - is also interred with his own headstone (faded) on the same plot. Mary's sister Anne Eliza (Burneer) Merritt and Anne's husband James M. Merritt are interred at a plot close-by.
