Joseph Burneer (Job T. Burneer) – Joseph Burneer died in his home in this village Thursday evening, March 9, aged 59 years, and the funeral services were from his late home in Center Street Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Alvin Yugel of the Lutheran Church, with interment in Fantinekill. Mr. Burneer was born at Washingtonville, and was a practical tinsmith, who came to Ellenville nearly thirty years ago, and until finally disabled was engaged at the shop now of E.J. Bailey. Some months ago he fell on the ice and broke one hip. About a week before his death he came to the shop on his crutches, but shortly after was prostrated with a cold, pneumonia following, with fatal result as stated. He is survived by his wife Sophia, a daughter of the late Adam Bishop.
