HICKS - Joseph R. Raymond, beloved uncle of Miss Gertie Hicks, Raymond, passed away at his home, aged 89 years. Mrs. Hicks was born in Salt Lake City and came to Southern Alberta in 1903. He farmed in the Raymond district and worked for the Sugar Beet Factory. Later he was caretaker of the LDS Stake House until his retirement in 1958. He is survived by one brother, Heber, in Salt Lake City; by nieces, Gertie Hicks, Raymond and Mrs. Hans (Ila) Kleyn, Chicago, and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Raymond Stake Chapel Thursday, August 4th at 2 p.m., Bishop Wm. W. Nalder officiating. Interment Temple Hill Cemetery. Christensen Fleming Funeral Home. Ltd., Directors of Funeral Services.

HICKS - Funeral services for Joseph R. Hicks of Raymond, beloved uncle of Miss Gertie Hicks who died at his home at Raymond at the age of 89, was held Thursday afternoon in the Raymond Stake Chapel with Bishop William W. Nalder officiating. Pallbearers were Ken Stone, Cliff Gough, Howard Rasmussen, Orin Turner, Dean Rolfson and Milo Vance. Interment was in the Temple Hill Cemetery. Christensen Fleming Funeral Home Ltd. Directors of Funeral Services was in charge of the arrangement.
