William M. Sandy, Jr, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. He was born on November 4, 1922 in Orlando, WV, son of the late William M. and Wilda L. Scarff, Sandy. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clayton Sandy; sisters, Velora P.Smith, Virginia Lewis and Vola Lee Riffle. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wilma J. Sandy; brother, Vincent R. Sandy and wife Sandra of FL; sisters, Violet C. Foutz of OH, Verma Rita Swiger and husband Gail of WV; stepchildren, Mike (Liz) Hagerman of Munroe Falls, OH and Jacqueline (Milton) Uselton of Akron, OH;two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
