Mrs. McKee was the widow of the late Dr. A. B. McKee. She was born in Edwardsville, July 29, 1874 and she resided here most of her life. Mrs. McKee was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and until recent years was active in the church having sung in the choir for many years. She graduated from the Edwardsville high school in the class of 1893 and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Keown.
She is survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Julia K. McKee of Edwardsville, Mrs. S. L. Jennings of Centralia and J. H. Keown of DeLand, Florida. One son, Albert McKee preceded her in death.
The body is at the Marks-Weber Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Carl L. Attig will conduct the service. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery. (Source: Edwardsville Intelligencer, Sep 22, 1941)
