Sister Mary Albert Rentmeester, age 75, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity of Holy Family Convent, died Monday, September 13, 1999, at the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 1999, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem with burial at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Emma Rentmeester on June 2, 1924, in Humboldt, Wis., daughter of the late Albert and Mary Boehm Rentmeester. Sister Mary Albert earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc. She entered the convent in 1946 and professed her vows in 1948. Sister Mary Albert served as an elementary teacher at St. Joseph, Rice Lake, St. Andrew, Manitowoc, St. Mary, Clarks Mills, St. Mary, Greenleaf, St. Anne, Francis Creek, Holy Rosary, New Holstein, St. Theresa, Kekaha, Cathedral School, Honolulu, Hawaii, and St. Francis, Yuma, Ariz. She has been a resident of St. Rita Health Center at the Motherhouse since July, 1999.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; three sisters and one brother-in-law, LaVerne Hermans, Lucille and Clem Vanden Bush, Green Bay, Doris Vanden Bush, Mountain, Wis.; four brothers and six sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Helen Rentmeester, Ruebin and Armella Rentmeester, Green Bay, Harold and Florence Rentmeester, Denmark, Joseph and Marge Boehm, Sturgeon Bay, and Elaine Rentmeester, Margaret Rentmeester, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday (TONIGHT) at the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday (TONIGHT) at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting with funeral arrangements.
