Lawrence J. (Larry) Rentmeester Lawrence J. Rentmeester, 86, Green Bay, died peacefully Sunday morning, May 18, 2008, surrounded by his family at Rennes Health Care. Larry was born June 24, 1921 in the Town of Humboldt to the late Albert and Mary (Boehm) Rentmeester. On June 16, 1945, he married Helen Coenen at St. Mary´s Catholic Church in De Pere. She preceded him in death February 12, 2004. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Larry retired from U.S. Paper Mills in 1986. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren at the family cottage on Green Lake, gardening, woodworking, fishing, square dancing and traveling including visits to his son in Alaska and sister in Hawaii. He is survived by his children: Ken (Ruth) Rentmeester of Middleton, Wisconsin and their children Brett (Shannon), Brody and Desire; Greg (Lynn) Rentmeester of Suamico, Wisconsin and their children Kurt, Kyle and Kory; John Rentmeester of Green Bay, Wisconsin and his children Ryan (Brenna), Caitlin and Carrie; Jane Rentmeester of Green Bay, Wisconsin; Roy (Gwen) Rentmeester of Denmark, Wisconsin and their children Nicole (Ben) Green, Angela and Brandon; and Kaye (Steve) Schneider of Ledgeview, Wisconsin and their children Rachel and Michael. He is further survived by five great-grandchildren � Elizabeth, Brianna, Jenna, Amber and Lillian and a daughter-in-law Vicki Rentmeester of Homer, Alaska. Other survivors include sisters Laverne Hermans and Lucille VandenBush and brothers Harold (Florence) Rentmeester and Joe (Marge) Boehm as well as sisters-in-law Margaret Rentmeester, Agnes Hannan and Catherine Haen. In addition to his loving wife of 59 years and his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son Bruce Rentmeester; his daughter-in-law Kathy Rentmeester; brothers Anthony, Reuben (Armella) and Wilbert (Elaine) Rentmeester; sisters Sister Mary Albert Rentmeester, OSF and Doris (Ralph) VandenBush; and by in-laws Gouldie Hermans, Clem VandenBush, Esther (Cornelius) Peeters, Peter Haen, Robert Hannan and Dorothy Coenen. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 East Mason Street, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, May 21 at St. Mary of the Angels Church, 645 South Irwin Street. Wake service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. James P. Neilson, O.Praem. and Rev. Tom Wojciechowski OFM concelebrating. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Chapel Mausoleum. The Rentmeester family would like to thank the staff at Rennes Health Care, Heartland Hospice and Bishop´s Court for the love and care they showed Larry and the family over the past three years as Larry´s health deteriorated.
