Born April 6, 1886, in Carroll County to Oliver and Nettie Brookbank Hornbeck, she married Harry R. Clawson on March 3, 1908, who died Nov. 20, 1958.
A member of the Delphi United Methodist Church and a charter member of Tippecanoe Township Extension Homemaker's Club. Mrs. Clawson was a Delphi High School graduate and had taught school in the Carroll County School system.
Survivors include two sons, Robert of Delphi and Dale of Anderson, three brothers, Charles Hornbeck of Akron, OH., George Hornbeck of Barberton, OH., and Ralph Hornbeck of Benton Harbor, Mich.; two sisters, Helen Baird of Frankfort and Ethel Lybrook of Delphi; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Burial was in the Pittsburg IOOF Cemetery.
